Xiang Feng and Wanggen Wan

Biography

Xiang Feng is a PhD student of School of Communication and Information Engineering, Shanghai University. He is also a member of Institute of Smart City, Shanghai University. He received his BE Degree at School of Communication and Information Engineering, Shanghai University in 2011. Since 2011 he has been doing Mater and PhD at School of Communication and Information Engineering, Shanghai University. He is a Dual Doctoral degree student between Shanghai University and University of Technology, Sydney. He was awarded the CSC Scholarship (China Scholarship Council) to study at University of Technology, Sydney between August 2014 and September 2015. He has authored six papers in internationally renowned journals and conferences in the areas of physically-based deformation and animation, and 3D modelling and reconstruction. He has been involved in several research projects including General Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China and National High Technology Research and Development Program of China.

Dr. Wanggen Wan has been a Full Professor at School of Communication and Information Engineering, Shanghai University since 2004. He is also Director of Institute of Smart City, Shanghai University and Dean of International Office, Shanghai University. He is vice Chair of IEEE CIS Shanghai Chapter and Chair of IET Shanghai Local Network. He is IET Fellow, IEEE Senior Member and ACM Professional Member. He has been Co-Chairman for many well-known international conferences since 2008. His research interests include computer graphics, video and image processing, and data mining. He has authored over 200 academic papers on international journals and conferences, and he has been involved in over 30 research projects as Principal Investigator. Dr. Wanggen Wan received his PhD degree from Xidian University, China in 1992. From 1991 to 1992, he was a Visiting Scholar at Department of Computer Engineering, Minsk Radio Engineering Institute, Former USSR. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Department of Information and Control Engineering, Xi’an Jiao-Tong University from 1993 to 1995. He was a Visiting Scholar at Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 1998 to 1999. He was a Visiting Professor and Section Head of Multimedia Innovation Center, Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2000 to 2004.
